Allen Wayne Medearis

Funeral service for Allen Wayne Medearis was held Friday, May 6, 2016, at 1:00 pm, at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 303 E. Shandon Midland, Texas, where Rev. Tommie Hale, Pastor will officiate.  He passed away on April 30, 2016.

Allen Wayne Medearis was born November 13, 1955, in Stanton, Martin, County, Texas, to the late Howard and Lenoria Medearis, and was the tenth of eleven children. He attended grade school and graduated from Lee High School in 1974. Allen enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1974, doing his basic training in Fort Ord. California. After his discharge he returned to Midland and worked various jobs, during the past ten years he was employed with Wal-Mart in the Deli Department. He met Monica Carden and they were married in 2005, the couple had three children. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother. He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Monica, his three children, Jasmine Johnson, Jayden Medearis and Journee Lusk. Two brothers, Howard (Nora) of Los Angeles, California and Lee Medearis of Houston, Texas. Six sisters, Modestine Mays of Midland, Texas, JoAnn Banks of Lubbock, Texas, Sidney Sue Sims of Houston, Texas, Willie Renea (Wahtayse), Aurella (Ray), and Precious Saddler (Norris) of Midland, Texas. One grand-daughter D'ANjaunisse and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
